Three shooting techniques dominate Sniper Arena: quick scoping for close fights, hard scoping for long sightlines, and no scoping as a panic option when enemies appear point blank. Quick scoping means right-clicking to aim and firing almost instantly, which is the skill you will use most.
Hard scoping keeps you zoomed in on a lane, ideal when you hold a long angle on maps like Nuketown. No scoping is a last resort because the shot is inaccurate, but it beats dying while you try to aim down sights. Practise all three in casual until each feels automatic.
